Comment: My husband adopted a cat for me back at the end of June, and she is the most loveable and amazing cat!! I can't believe she was there for a few months and no one wanted her!! Mya (formerly Mercedes) is a joy to have around and I thank my husband every day for bringing her home to us, and our other cat is pretty happy to have a playmate as well. Thanks for everything you do to help the animals in Erie County!!!!!!!!!

Comment: You need to let people with other animals get animals from you and not tell them no. Your job is to help the animals
When an animal is surrendered, we have the previous owner fill out a lengthy profile on that pet. If someone comes in to adopt and their criteria does not match that of the previous owner, then we do have to become investigators....for instance if a dog does not like children or other dogs or cats, then we will never allow it to be adopted by a family who has such. We are certain that the potential adoptee is a good fit with its new family.

Comment: People keep droping animals of by my house too. I don't see them do it but we have alot of cats who like people and will come if called for. How do we STOP this?
